Newly remodelled, overall clean place, worth its 3 stars. Make sure you stay in the family room with a view of restrooms. The breakfast is hot and the staff is genuinely helpful.

The hotel atmosphere is charming. The duck pond is lovely to look at and I enjoyed sitting on the benches, watching the wildlife - the turtles, fish, and the ducks with the feather pompadour. Continental breakfast is much more than what is available at many hotels, and the long hours that the cafe is open allows the sleeping in patrons as well as the early risers a chance for breakfast. I needed more of several items (conditioner) and the staff was very responsive to providing them. It was quiet at night so we could sleep - that's very important. Great selection of magazines gave us ideas about what to do, and lots of coupons that could be used at venues appealed to us. The room was spacious and comfortable. A very good experience overall and we're going back next month. Way to find, easy to get to, easy to travel all around the area from this hotel. And it attracted other very nice guests.
More towels bars in the bathroom, even one or two in the room, would let us hang our towels to dry. I would have used the towel I first used on the second day as well. But because I couldn't find a place to spread it to dry, I dropped it to the floor and used a new one the next morning. The refrigerator was so noisy that we called the front desk to have them take a look. But they unplugged the wrong thing and we unplugged the frig so we could rest. Still, small complaints.Loved it and will recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Santa Barbara.

Easy access to freeway and downtown area.
Hotel was overpriced. The "mountain views" were extremely limited, and the proximity to the freeway made for a noisy room if the sliding glass door was open.

The newly renovated and neat room & large bathroom. Nice pool, parking outside.

The room was clean and comfortable.
There was a group of students staying at the hotel and we were booked in the middle of their rooms. It was extremely noisy. We notified management upon our check out and they did apologize but made excuses for the noise stating it was a Human Resources group - however, there was a charter bus there with students from a college and during our complimentary breakfast other parties were complaining about the students antics and partying.

Exceptionally comfortable bed in the superior queen room, plus air conditioning, a balcony, and a safe. Unbeatable, pleasant location just next door to the centre of the proper which is home to several quirky looking ducks, santa barbara at the Ramada Inn, and shopping area. Also, close to everything...

We loved our stay here, especially the kids feeding the ducks right outside our room with the complimentary duck food! There were great options for relaxation, like the heated pool and the cozy garden area. The only hiccup was that the breakfast choices could have been a bit more varied, but overall, we had a fantastic time! 😊
